This workshop is being run as part of the ASBAS Digital Solutions Program.

All participants are required to bring: mobile phone, mobile phone charger, notepad and pen.

Are you a business owner and struggling with your video productions due to their high cost or you do not know what to say and how to say it? This video-making workshop is tailored to business owners like you.

You'll learn how to achieve professional level video production by JUST USING YOUR SMARTPHONE.

Here's a quick taste of some of the topics we'll discuss:

  • What to say: The content and structure of your script.
  • How you say it: Voice projection, articulation, external microphones and microphone techniques.
  • How you look when you say it: Camera work, framing, lighting, colour temperature, what colours work better and what don’t, your hair and make-up.
  • This workshop is for small business owners who want to:
  • Start releasing video content for their small business
  • Save money by creating their own videos using a mobile
  • More effectively attract and engage customers with video

The Australian Small Business Advisory Services (ASBAS) program provides low-cost, high-quality digital advisory services to small businesses across Victoria

The program is being delivered in Maroondah by Melbourne Innovation Centre in partnership with Maroondah City Council.

What is included in the program?

The program supports your online business needs by offering the following:

1. Group workshops

Workshops are often the entry point into the program for small businesses. For a one-off fee, you can attend workshops in Melbourne’s East.This program is a collaboration with Knox, Manningham, Monash, Whitehorse and Yarra Ranges.

Participating in the intensive group workshops will provide the foundational knowledge you need to get the most out of your mentoring appointment.

2. Tailored mentoring

Mentoring is delivered one-on-one (2 hours per ABN) and will provide your small business with a Digital Needs Assessment and a Digital Engagement Plan. The mentoring appointment can be self-directed, so if you have questions or are seeking personal guidance with your online activities, this is your opportunity!

3. ASBAS Digital Solutions Portal

The online ASBAS Digital Solutions portal offers step-by-step learning to bridge the gaps in your business. These easy-to-follow lectures can be completed at your own pace, in your own time. The modules provide all the information you need to digitise your business.

4. Interactive webinars

Webinars will be added to the online Digital Solutions portal, providing additional opportunities for you to learn from experts.

How much does the program cost?

The ASBAS Digital Solutions program requires a single $55 payment, which grants you full access to all of the above outlined components of the program.

Are you eligible?

To access the program services, you must be operating for-profit and have 19 or less Full-Time Equivalent employees. Sole traders can also access services.

How do you sign up?

Simply visit the ASBAS website and select your region as Victoria. You can then read more about the program and sign up by clicking the blue “Sign up” button.

Once you’ve signed up and paid $55, you will receive a welcome email asking you to confirm your registration. Follow the prompts to confirm your email and password, and you will then have full access to the ASBAS Digital Solutions portal.

You will be able to access the online learning modules, as well as view and book upcoming workshops in Victoria, and book your mentoring appointment.
