Celebrating partnerships that inspire and connect local businesswomen
BizHub recently partnered with Eastland to deliver our annual Women in Business event, celebrating inspiring local businesswomen.
This collaboration represented a coming together of the local community, to celebrate both BizHub and Eastland’s strong commitment to celebrating diverse, resilient women in leadership.
With women owning more than a third of local businesses, this event was an important celebration of the often-unsung contributions women make to the local economy, and more broadly in society.
“The Maroondah business community is diverse, passionate and collaborative. At Eastland, we see every day how powerful these partnerships can be. We’re inspired by the way women-led businesses continue to shape both the culture and economy of our region,” said an Eastland representative.
This year's event featured keynote speaker Fiona Killackey, My Daily Business and a panel of dynamic local businesswomen, who shared honest insights, strategies and experiences to inspire others on their journey.
The panel members, Jessica Shaw from True Fairies and Curious Events Co, Stephanie Chan from Sugar Rush by Steph, and Marianne Di Giallonardo from Maroondah City Council, shared candid and insightful discussions about their business and leadership experiences, inspiring attendees with their stories of resilience, innovation, and success in the business world.
This annual event is more than a networking opportunity - it’s a space where women across the community come together to share their stories, build meaningful connections and walk away inspired to take the next step in their business journey.
We’re proud to have Eastland as the partner for Maroondah’s Women in Business: Inspire and Connect 2025.
Eastland’s commitment reflects their role as a true community and commercial hub - championing the growth, resilience and leadership of women who are shaping Maroondah’s economic and cultural future.
Looking ahead to the Women in Business event in 2026, BizHub invites other businesses and organisations to partner with us. This event is more than a networking opportunity - it’s a space where women across the community come together to share their stories, build meaningful connections and walk away inspired to take the next step in their business journey. Sponsorship is not just support - it’s a powerful opportunity to invest in our local business community, showcase your brand values, and connect with leaders who are driving change together.
Council’s BizHub team thanks Eastland for their support in delivering a successful event for our community.
