After months of nominations, judging and site visits, the Maroondah Business Excellence Awards culminated in the Gala dinner on Thursday 29 August where we celebrated the 21 finalists and the winners.

We’re pleased to announce that Footlab+ were the overall winner of the 2024 Business of the Year Award after also winning their category of Education, Training, Health and Lifestyle.

Footlab+ is a specialist foot and ankle care clinic that offers personalised care for all ages. With a passion for ongoing education, they deliver cutting-edge treatment techniques, empowering patients to regain mobility.

The judges commended Footlab+ for being an exemplary business that goes above and beyond with a leadership team that empowers their employees and demonstrates a passion for their service.

They demonstrated tenacity, determination and persistence and the judges praised them for being a real stand out in the market.

Fiona Massarotti at Footlab+ said the team was still processing their achievements.

"We were extremely excited to be acknowledged for our commitment and passion to the podiatry world … It is a huge reflection and validation of our journey and the determination, perseverance and patience that small business requires, particularly during and post COVID-19,” Fiona said.

"When we embarked on following through on the anonymous nomination, we never imagined the journey it would take. We are truly grateful for this opportunity and overwhelmed by the outcome.

To all business owners out there: keep pushing. The environment is tough at the moment but keep chasing the dream.”
