Congratulations to this year’s Maroondah Business Excellence Award winners!

Building Better Brains Australia took out the prestigious 2023 Business of the Year award during the Maroondah Business Excellence Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday 26 October at Karralyka.

Building Better Brains supports growth, reconnection and recovery in children who struggle with mental health, social skills, self-esteem, anxiety, anger and regulation. The team aims to educate and empower parents, teachers and mental health professionals by using evidence-based strategies. They deliver brain-wise, trauma-smart approaches to therapy, teaching, training and learning, with a focus on play and creativity, in order to build resilient, flexible and emotionally intelligent young minds that are capable and confident.

“We were in shock when we received the Business of the Year Award! We feel incredibly humbled and grateful for the opportunity and also the experience. The act of being seen by other amazing businesses and the judging panel, because we are doing something ‘left of field’, is a humbling and powerful moment to have as business owners,” they said.
