BizHub Maroondah is continuing to link businesses with free and low-cost access to online workshops, training events and resources so they can plan for a stronger future, take advantage of new opportunities and help businesses adapt to the changes.
Be Kind to Business Maroondah
Council's Be Kind Maroondah campaign continues to uncover stories of positivity and hope.
A key element of the campaign is encouraging the community to ‘Be Kind to Business’ and support their local traders and shopping centres.
Maroondah Funding Finder
Council is supporting the Maroondah Funding Finder, which shares a comprehensive list of grant and funding opportunities currently available.
With grants worth more than $170 billion available, make sure your business utilises this free service and discover if your business is eligible for funding opportunities.

If you’re in the hospitality industry and want clarification about your responsibilities whilst trading during the current restrictions, contact Council’s Community Health team on 9294 5603 or email for additional food safety advice.
Working from home health and wellbeing
With many Maroondah businesses operating from home in some capacity, BizHub Maroondah, in partnership with Maroondah Leisure, has developed the health and wellbeing video series, ‘Deskercise’ as a means of promoting health and fitness.

'We're still here for you' business stickers
‘We’re still here for you’ stickers have also been made available for Maroondah businesses to display in their shop windows, letting customers know that they are still open. These have been a popular, easy method to allow businesses to stay in touch with customers.

Bayswater Business Precinct (BBP)
Bayswater Business Precinct (BBP) is a thriving business and employment community that’s home to 5,000 businesses and which supports more than 30,000 local jobs.
BBP Connect
Maroondah, Knox and Yarra Ranges councils, with their delivery partner, Localised, are proud to support BBP Connect - a digital community connecting local businesses with each other across the Bayswater Business Precinct.
Businesses can post their local supply needs, share local business news, tips and advice, and establish vital connections and collaborate with other businesses.
ASBAS Business Resilience program
BizHub Maroondah has supported its delivery partners Melbourne Innovation Centre and the Australian Small Business Advisory Service to create the ASBAS Business Resilience program for small businesses suffering the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis. The program includes free access to virtual mentoring, online workshops, and resources.
Keeping businesses informed
BizHub Maroondah, and Maroondah City Council, are in direct communication with Maroondah's businesses via their digital media platforms.
Businesses can sign up to receive BizHub Updates, or follow BizHub Maroondah on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to receive updates about Council's business support programs during the pandemic.
Footpath decals in local shopping centres
Council has been installing footpath decals in local shopping centres to thank customers for shopping locally and to reinforce current social distancing guidelines. The decals are a visual reminder to the community to maintain a 1.5 metre distance from others.
Maroondah’s plan for economic recovery
Maroondah City Council has been working directly with local businesses to ensure that Maroondah’s plans for economic recovery incorporate insights from local businesses to specifically tailor recovery initiatives to their needs.
