The Business Resilience program
The Business Resilience program is specifically designed to assist small businesses suffering the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis. Support includes free access to virtual mentoring, online workshops, and resources.
To be eligible for free mentoring through this program, you must be a Victorian business with an active ABN, less than 20 employees, and be for-profit.
Eligible participants can attend free virtual workshops on topics pertinent to the impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic on small business.
Eligible participants can access 4 hours of free mentoring with a business resilience expert.
The discussion is guided by your needs. Discussion topics may include developing a crisis management plan, transitioning your business to selling online, identifying new directions and income streams, or marketing and communicating with your customers with empathy.
Strategy and resilience
The ability to plan and respond effectively in a crisis is critical to the continuation of a business. A Crisis Management Plan and Business Continuity Plan can prevent or reduce loss in a crisis and avoid or mitigate risks associated with a disruption of operations.
Finance and technology
Take advantage of technology to manage your daily operations and keep your remote team working efficiently. Utilise online project management tools and video conferencing platforms to improve connectedness, workflow, and productivity.
Customers and marketing
It’s critical to retain your existing customers throughout this global disturbance to best position your business for a strong recovery. Communication is key. It’s important to market your business to existing customers and new audiences.
Manage staff and create a safe work environment during a crisis or lockdown. Learn how to respond to the situation early with reviews to staffing, regular communication, and remote working arrangements.
Mental health and wellbeing
Businesses have a responsibility to support their workers in these uncertain and changing times. Current conditions can increase anxiety and stress, so it’s important that managers are transparent and compassionate with their workers, and let them know they are not alone. It is okay to not be okay.
