COVID-19 Business Support
Free business expert sessions
BizHub Maroondah is continuing to reach out to businesses impacted by the pandemic with free expert advice to ensure they are supported through this challenging period and emerge on the other side.
The critical business assistance service set up through BizHub earlier this year has helped businesses navigate the changing economic landscape.
Prior to booking an appointment, read the program detail to ensure eligibility.
Footpath Dining Extension Permit
To help our local hospitality businesses as they move out of COVID-19 restrictions, Council is providing an opportunity for eligible traders to express interest in a Footpath Dining Extension Permit.
Workshops to build business confidence
BizHub Maroondah is continuing to link businesses with free access to online workshops, training events and resources so they can plan for a stronger future, take advantage of new opportunities and help businesses adapt to the changes and emerge stronger post-pandemic.
Be Kind to Business Maroondah
Council's Be Kind Maroondah campaign continues to uncover stories of positivity and hope.
With businesses doing it tough during the current restrictions, a key element of the campaign is encouraging the community to ‘Be Kind to Business’ and support their local traders and shopping centres.
Maroondah Funding Finder
Council has launched the Maroondah Funding Finder, which shares a comprehensive list of grant and funding opportunities currently available. This free service is available to all local businesses, which means that you will never miss a grant opportunity again.
With more than 1,102 grants worth $170.3 billion available, make sure to utilise this new service and discover if your business is eligible for these funding opportunities.
Environmental Health
If you’re in the hospitality industry and want clarification about your responsibilities whilst trading during the current restrictions, contact Council’s Community Health team on 9294 5603 or email for additional food safety advice.
Working from home health and wellbeing
With hundreds of Maroondah businesses operating from home in some capacity, BizHub Maroondah, in partnership with Maroondah Leisure, has developed the health and wellbeing video series, ‘Deskercise’ as a means of promoting health and fitness.
Watch the latest Deskercise videos via Council's Youtube channel.
'We're still here for you' business stickers
‘We’re still here for you’ stickers have also been made available for Maroondah businesses to display in their shop windows, letting customers know that they are still open. These have been a popular, easy method to allow businesses to stay in touch with customers.
Complete a sticker request form to start telling your customers you're still there for them!
